Adoption has been growing in becoming more known and a more familiar practice amongst people. You see more families within your personal network that has an adopted child or children. And for different reasons adoption takes place.

Perhaps there has also been a few stigmas around adoption. Like particular cost and administration arrangements involved. The best we can do in order to address these stigmas, is to educate ourselves on the topic of adoption. Get together with families that has adopted a child already. Be open to ask the questions that you have. Be interested in the process and get involved in the conversation.
Nothing better than a personal testimony on how to change a life!

Also perhaps take the time to do your own research on this. Is there any adoption facilities in your surrounding area?
Visit adoption sites and talk with the professionals involved.

In addition, here is also a great podcast on adoption:

In this episode, Scotty shares a little bit about their journey in orphan care, through the journey of adopting their beautiful little girl, Sadie. Scotty addresses some of the most asked questions around what it is like to adopt cross-culturally in South Africa. We hope you are encouraged through his testimony and insight.

James 1:27 “True spirituality that is pure in the eyes of our Father God is to make a difference in the lives of the orphans, and widows in their troubles, and to refuse to be corrupted by the world’s values.
